After being disclosed at E3 2021, Forza Horizon 5 was here, and it took us to Mexico. Forza Horizon 5 is one of the biggest launch of Microsoft this year, and in fact, is it not for Halo Infinite, it might be the biggest single release for M Big M on 2021. I spent time with Forza Horizon 5 for the past few days, and While I wasn’t ready to write complete reviews about it first, I was enough to play to give my first impression about it.

Inactive instantly

For context, I was a latekomer to the Forza Horizon series. I started with Forza Horizon 3 on the Xbox One, then finally graduated to Forza Horizon 4 on the same platform and, after a while, PC. I like both titles and say both are one of the best games of each of their release years.

While Forza Horizon 4 is a very good game and I like England, it has no equal impact with settings like Australia Forza Horizon 3. The preferred season introduced at Forza Horizon 4 is very good, and they will be back for Forza Horizon 5, but though Forza Horizon 4 takes in England it’s beautiful, the type of setting takes the back seat for me.

The same thing does not apply to Forza Horizon 5. Mexico instantly involved as a setting for this game. This is one of the most beautiful games I have ever played, and even in my short time with Forza Horizon 5 so far, I have seen enough Mexican to feel compelled to explore more. From the forest and desert to the beach and the volcano that dominates the map, the Mexican version of Forza Horizon 5 is a view that must be seen.

Very beautiful so I destroyed the lead in a few races because I was disturbed by the scenery, and the picture I entered in this article (captured with FH5 photo mode) captures only a few more striking places I’ve visited. In the series where the gameplay has known quantity, the setting and map of Forza Horizon 5 becomes the star shows, and Mexico certainly does not disappoint.

New settings with known friends

Even though Forza Horizon 5 was immediately impressive because of his arrangement, I was a little worried that it felt like the past entry. Maybe I need to spend time with Forza Horizon 4 before my full review so I can make a fresh comparison between two games, but Forza Horizon 5 feels very similar to the Forza Horizon game in the past.

It’s not necessarily a bad thing because Forza Horizon always offers stellar gameplay. Forza Horizon 5 structure is not exactly the same as the past entries, because it divides various types of events into sub-stories that can be developed individually. I really like that, but the narrative core builds the horizon festival in a new location.

Maybe things will change when I advance further into the game, but for now, Forza Horizon 5 feels more like iterations than a unique experience. As the saying goes, “if it doesn’t break, don’t fix it,” and it applies to video games as many as others. However, I was worried that the Forza Horizon series might not be enough to innovate from entries to entries, which can cause it to start losing players before long.

Still, for now, there are not many indications that Forza Horizon 5 is a straw that will break the camel’s back – the initial reception to the game looks good, and as long as the gameplay remains pleasant, the player might not have a problem. With playground games and Microsoft made a mistake on the side of the intimacy. Unfortunately, I have not enough to play the game to determine how similar it is for Forza Horizon 4, but at this initial stage, it feels very similar to what I play in the past.
