Nest Hub (2nd gen) gets smarter sleeping sensing before it’s no longer free

Read Time:2 Minute, 40 Second

Nest hub (2nd gene) has a mini radar sensor in it called soli. Google previously included Soli on Pixel Smartphone 4, where it allows users to interact with certain applications with medium air movements. With Nest Hub (Gen 2), Soli allows sensing sleep, providing motion sensing information without the help of the camera.

Soli is sensing.

Sleeping has worked with a hub nest (Gen 2) because it was released. In our nest hub review (2nd gene), we have great things to say about this device’s sleep sensing ability. At present, sleep sensing is very helpful and simple.

Nest Hub (2nd gene) will get updates to the sleep sensing system that will make the whole process more profound and useful. If you already have a hub nest (2nd gene) and find the bed sensing feature for really valuable, the next update must make it feel more intense than now.

New data in duration and quality

Two parts with big updates:

  • Duration
  • Quality

Sleep staging system will appear on the hub nest, show how long you are at every stage of sleep in duration and quality. The duration will show the estimated time you fall asleep, and how long you will fall asleep. The duration will also show you four bedtime stages: wake up, brakes, light, and inside. You will see a simple clock to read with the amount of time you sleep, on the bed, and get out of bed.

Quality shows time when you are nervous, sleeping, and waking up. It also shows points where you snore or cough, other unknown sounds, and the point where lighting changes indoors. Information on the quality screen is held into hypnogram, plan all points where important events occur.

Quality reading includes information about sound detected by the device. With this update, the hub nest becomes a little smarter about filtering sounds that don’t come from single humans that should be monitored. If the sound occurs outside the bed area calibrated by the device, the sound will appear in the “Other Voice” section of the hypnogram.

The date of cutting a little bed is free

Sleep sensing capabilities in the hub nest (Gen 2) will continue to be free to 2022. After that, the sensing of sleep will no longer be free. The features included with sleep sensing will be included by subscribing to the Fitbit Premium.

At present, Fitbit Premium has a subscription fee of $ 9.99 per month, or $ 79.99 per year. Regardless of when you buy a hub nest (2nd gene), sleep sensing will no longer be a free service starting January 1, 2023. This date can change before we arrive at that date, but for now, that’s the recommended Google.

Quiet integration

The nest display of several types will have quiet integration from December 2021. Calm is an audio system with focus on sleep, meditation, and relaxation, and has a subscription fee. When launched, calm through Google Assistant on the Sarang Display will have “several free tracks” available outside the complete subscription. Like other subscription services such as Spotify, you have to create a quiet account and pay a monthly fee to calm down to get full access to a quiet audio library.
